The directive 2011/65/EU   restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in homogeneous materials of electrical and electronic equipment sold in the European Union.
The restrictions refer to the heavy metals lead, mercury, cadmium and chromium VI and to the polybrominated flame retardants PBB and PBDE.

We offer the testing of components, subassemblies and complete equipment using an efficient and cost-effective two-stage testing system:

1. screening of all homogeneous materials  by X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) to get an indication of the presence of hazardous substances
2. quantification of the substances in homogeneous materials  by wet chemical analysis

This includes detailed picture documentation and  labelling of all components to ensure easy comprehensibility and clear allocation of the relevant components.
