The hardness of plastics is determined in different ways depending on the type of material.
OMPG offers both the classical ball indentation hardness test and the Shore hardness measurement for elastomers. Many surface tests are also connected with hardness tests.

Various scratch tests are demanded in particular for automotive applications. The spectrum ranges from the testers acc. to Erichsen and Oesterle to wear and abrasion tests. Partially entire crosshatch patterns are applied mechanically with the Erichsen test machine model 430P and then the colour change is determined.
